We are proud to be
publishing the Mortimer & Teasdale series of
Children's
books. They have been written by the
Children's Author Rosemary
Jameson and fully illustrated by
Marek Jagucki.
The series of
stories have been written with humour to highlight the problems and
situations that
children can encounter in their own lives. The theme of
the
stories may mirror some children’s experiences - perhaps making them
realise that they are not alone. For example, it is alright not to like rough games and
to prefer being quiet, just as sometimes if you are a bit excitable and accident prone
it can be mistaken for being naughty. The
stories perfectly blend
entertainment with education.
Mortimer and Teasdale Volume 1 contains the first three
stories about the two dogs, their
friends and and their adventures on the farm.
The
book is fully illustrated in colour and contains 44 pages.
ISBN No: 978-1-905725-00-0
Teasdale Sees Red
This story introduces the characters and defines their personalities. Teasdale manages
to cause mayhem in the local tearooms but in the process raises the alarm over
a prize winning sheep that has escaped from the market.
The story deals with being accident-prone but well-meaning.
Mortimer Goes to the Vet
The second story sees Mortimer with an ear infection and has to wear a large collar
to prevent him scratching – Teasdale thinks this is hilarious. On a visit
to the local town Teasdale ends up with a lampshade stuck on his
head - which makes him look ridiculous. Mortimer has the last laugh.
The story deals with following Doctor’s orders and not making fun of others misfortunes.
Pickle Has Kittens
The third story introduces the farm cat, Pickle, and her new kittens. Teasdale
saves one of the new kittens from falling into the pond.
It deals with Teasdale accepting responsibility and being careful in
an emergency.
